Witchcraft, Wish-Craft or Intentional Living? Are you ready to learn everything you always wanted to know about practical magick to empower your witchcraft?
Call it what you like, it’s all about understanding energy and wielding your personal power to manifest your desires. And I’m here to take the mystery out of it.
KISS—Keep It Simple Sister . . . or brother, as the case may be. Come to think of it, I don’t like exclusionary language. How about Keep It Simple Sorcerers?
I’ve been practicing and writing about witchcraft for close to 30 years now, and virtually all of what I’ve shared is still accessible somewhere online. Most of it remains free, save for a short stint with Patreon, however I have since edited and re-released what was paywalled there (on various venues across the web).
Substack gives me a greater ability to reach more readers with information they can use. I’ve uploaded select posts from my archived blog to this space and I remain committed to keeping much of what I publish here free. This is the way I give back to the witching community and complete the circle of giving to receive.
Subscribers at all levels receive new posts in their email approximately twice a month (archived content may be paywalled after a designated time period). Paid subscribers receive bonus content, including printable pages for BOS— Sabbats, Spells, Basic Witchery and access to posts in Courses In Witchery (look for the section link in the menu bar).
If you’re not ready for a paid subscription, consider dropping some coin in my tip jar to buy me a cup of brew. It’s a way to say “Hey, thanks for sharing all this witchy content!” Just click the image below to go to my Ko-fi page.
Sections
Simple Witchery has three sections in addition to the main content. You can find them on the navigation menu. When you subscribe to Simple Witchery, you will automatically receive emails each time new content is posted in any of the sections. If that turns out to be more incoming emails than you want, you can change your settings to customize which emails you receive. Click on your profile icon in the upper right corner of the page. In the drop-down box, click on Manage Subscriptions. From there you’ll be able to see all of the publications you subscribe to. Click on Simple Witchery, and you’ll get this —
To unsubscribe from a section, simply click on the white circle to turn off notifications. You will no longer receive emails when new content is posted in that section. You will still be able to read those posts online, just look for them on the Simple Witchery Home Page.
If you are reading posts in your email and haven’t visited the substack site, your missing a lot of content . . . I post Notes almost every day—sometimes quick little spells in a meme, sometime links to fun and interesting content from others, sometimes a link to a previously paid post that I unlock for all subscribers. I also publish full length articles that I don’t always send out in email (I hate when I subscribe to something and there is new content in my email every 👏 single 👏 day 👏 — Don’t you, too?).
Why Am I Doing This?
When I first began exploring witchcraft, it was difficult to find resources. There was no internet and very little published material available, most of it heavy on Wicca. Now there is an abundance of resource material covering numerous magickal traditions.
One good thing about the information I found all those years ago is that it was accurate. A lot of what I see now, thanks to the socials and the ease of self publishing, is rife with misinformation repeated by witches who don’t know better.
So what makes me, writing and posting willy nilly all over the interwebs, any different? In my mundane, work-a-day life I am a professional, published writer. I worked as managing editor and VP for a book publisher, and then ran my own small press publishing house, wearing all the hats. Now I’m devoting those skills to sharing accurate, reliable information about the craft—and frankly, I research the shit out of everything.
I have distilled my personal practice to it's purest form—Simple Witchery for everyday enchantment. If you’re interested in using magick for intentional living, I think I can help you.
More about Simple Witchery.
Thank you for doing this. I have been reading about witchcraft and various forms of paganism for decades. Without the internet it was quite challenging and expensive to buy books. When the internet came along so also came much more information in various forms of completeness. It is very refreshing to see someone who is freely giving back to the universe to allow us all to grow and to grow yourself.
Bright blessings to you.
